This gallery has a number of pictures surrounding my first weekend with the new kanaRY R1200GS and the ride down to Max BMW and breakfast, and riding to brunch the following day. I threw in some odds and ends while I was there.

BlackFly > Nancy's Place just down the road from Max BMW is a fine ride-to-eat destination.

BlackFly > BlackFly drops the oil for the first time on the kanaRy GS. He didn't find any engine bits or metal filings.

BlackFly > The handicapped ramp/loading dock is leaving for good in a week or so. Sadly, although I no longer need it, a friend has been diagnosed with cancer and will be putting it to use. As much as the Yankee in me hates to simply discard it, BlackFly and I are greatly saddened at the news.

BlackFly > The Rice Public Library in Kittery, ME near the entrance to the Naval Shipyard. Route 103 is a fine alternative ride along the coast between Portsmouth and York.

BlackFly > Gary and Marianne made the mistake of letting me lead them to brunch, and I nearly ran them out of gas. Gary's new Ulysses came in the fastest color. They're new neighbors from South Africa, and I knew right away when they mentioned their F650 back home that we were going to be friends.

BlackFly > The Florentine Benny. It was hard to stop eating long enough to take a pic for posterity. Mmmmm!

BlackFly > BlackFly raises a cuppa joe at the A1 cafe in Gardiner, Maine.

BlackFly > BlackFly, SheRidesABeemer and Mongo (HeRidesAHarley) presenting us with a bottle of wine saved from a case they bought at the Finger Lakes rally and rode all the way home with. Leaving that final bottle alone must have been tough!

BlackFly > Just in case the temptation became too great...
