BlackFly > We did go bushwacking in Montana, Kit on the mighty GS and me on my roadster (R1150RGS?) I had to stop and tighten up a BUNCH of bolts as a result of the washboard surface.
BlackFly > Evening of Day #5, we had a nice dinner in Red Lodge, MT. Chacifer was leaving solo early the next morning to take time with a friend in Idaho before rejoining us in Spokane. Kit and I were resting up for our assualt on Beartooth Pass. Outstanding microbrew was available at Red Lodge Ales.
BlackFly > On the afternoon of Day #4 we arrived at Mt. Rushmore and did the requisite Tourist Thing. Cahcifer had a hankering for burritos, so after we set up at the Deadwood KOA, she went off on the F650 and found us some for dinner. Kit claimed that he had never had a burrito before. Imagine!
BlackFly > Morning dew coats the bikes and gear as we break camp on day #4 in Albert Lea, MN. The campground had been flooded by the unusually high rainfall that summer, but they found us one lush piece of high ground to tent on. The mosquitos were plentiful and vicious.
BlackFly > Kit disembarking from the ferry in Milwaukee, WI with the city skyline behind. This was his maiden voyage on his new-to-him R1150GS. He had departed a day after Chacifer and me, rode a hard day through Canada and caught up with us here.
